Cool-Roof Systems, a division of Common Sense Solutions, Inc. was established to provide energy efficient SPF roofing and waterproofing solutions, installed by properly trained and supervised personnel for building Owners, Property Managers, Facility Managers and Assett Managers. Simply stated, our goal is to provide the highest level of customer service to Building Owners and Managers.

Having worked in the SPF industry for almost 20 years in positions that included Applicator, Owner Operator, Estimator, Project Manager and General Manager for major roofing contractors, Mr. Orth felt there was a disparity between verbal commitments to Customer Service and quality workmanship and what the Client actually received. The feeling that the Client deserved better lead to the creation of Common Sense Solutions, Inc. and Cool-Roof Systems.

We at Cool-Roof Systems are committed to providing outstanding Customer Service and professional workmanship. This will be accomplished by adhering to the following principles;
 
1. Listening to the Client.

2. Carefully preparing a proposal that addresses their needs and the proper application of our  Cool-Roof Systems or other selected service.

3. Develop an application schedule with the Owner that minimizes or eliminates inconvenience to the building user yet keeps the safety and applications conditions acceptable.

4. Upon completion, the entire project will be inspected by the Superintendent and/or President of Cool-Roof Systems.

5. Random projects will be inspected by our suppliers as part of our in-house Quality Control Program.

Lyle Orth, President of Cool-Roof Systems, has over 20 years experience in Sprayed Polyurethane Foam (SPF) and Coating applications. He has personally applied over 4.3 million square feet of SPF on project ranging from the simplest residential roof to large complex commercial and industrial projects.

Mr. Orth understands that employee training is a paramount to maintaining high levels of Customer Satifaction and professional applications. As a member of the Sprayed Polyurethane Foam Alliance (SPFA) for over 7 years, this SPFA's former Vice President, former Chairman of Accreditation Committee, Mr. Orth has taken a pro-active part in developing and providing industry training by joining the Accreditation Committee as a Faculty member.  The Accreditation Committee is responsible for developing and presenting formal classes for the industry.

Mr. Orth has personally completed SPFA's R-1 Conventional Roofing Course, 101-R Fundamentals of Sprayed Polyurethane Foam Applications, 201 Sprayed Foam Project Management, 301 SPF Sales and Marketing, UCSC's Materials course and Gusmer's Equipment Course. He is currently working on his Bachelors Degree in Business Management.

Committment to Safety and Training
All Cool-Roof Systems employees are required to have ongoing formal training in addition to our weekly safety training. As each team member advances, we provide for specialized industry training on a continuous basis to help them grow and improve our Customer service.
